I am so looking forward to photographing Nina and John's wedding this September at the Renaissance! I had so much fun shooting their engagement session yesterday.. they are so easy going and relaxed which makes it super easy to get great photos of them together.
It was a pleasure to photograph Gina and Curtis's wedding for many reasons, but the one thing that stood out most was how absolutely undeniably perfect they are for each other! There is nothing better than watching best friends become husband and wife, and if you saw their engagement photos you would've read that they were inseparable best friends for 5 years before they became a couple. This made them even more fun to photograph because they are SO comfortable around each other. Even the thunderstorms couldn't keep the smiles off their faces.. and they were such troopers to shoot through the rain with me! I just adore a couple who will do anything for great photos :)
Just as the rain is starting to sprinkle down...
Sarah showed up for youth group and got an insta-crush on her hot new youth group leader. Andrew, completely oblivious to what was going on (surprised?) went on with his life as normal while Sarah shamelessly flirted with him trying to get his attention. Little did Andrew know his life was about to change. Sarah headed off to the University Of Ottawa, and one fateful night when Andrew and his friends went on a road trip to Ottawa, he and Sarah met at a local bar. This time, the sparks flew, and Andrew fell for Sarah... and he fell hard. And everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) around him knew just how crazy in love he was with her. How, you might ask? Let me tell you.. I was there. Every time he opened his mouth, he was babbling lovely things about Sarah.. how beautiful she is, how smart she is, how funny she is, how she is all he needs.. (which is all true) but we knew it was REALLY bad when he started missing hockey games to hang out with her :)
This family has got to be one of the cutest families ever!! I had so much fun shooting their session. They are all so photogenic, and despite Kelly warning me that Gracie is super shy and probably wouldn't look at me, I think she secretly loved getting her photo taken :) I caught her looking at me and flashing a smile a few times, which of course makes for great photos. Cash is one of the sweetest kids ever and I get warm and fuzzies just thinking about him! He was so content to just sit in the grass and soak up everything around him. My favorite thing about him is when he flashes his great big smile to show off his one little bottom tooth :)
